**Honestly, I suggest staying away from Alcohol completely in the beginning stages of Keto. But if you must, the best options when it comes to alcohol is to DRINK IT STRAIGHT.

  • Tequila
  • Whiskey, scotch, or bourbon
  • Vodka
  • Rum
  • Brandy
  • Gin
  • Cognac

 

 

If you’re anything like me, you want to add a little pizzazz to your cocktail. My go-to drinks are 1) a Vodka Soda with extra lime or 2) a Dirty Martini

Here are some carb- and sugar-free additives:

  • Diet tonic water
  • Seltzer water OR Club Soda
  • Erythritol or stevia instead of sugar
  • Mio Liquid Water Enhancer
  • Sugar-free or diet drinks (preferably those sweetened with natural sugar-free options like erythritol or stevia)
  • Sugar-free carbonated water

 

For wines, choose dry or semi-dry options like:

Reds:

  • Pinot Noir (3.4 grams carbs)
  • Cabernet Sauvignon (3.8 grams)
  • Merlot (3.7 grams)

Whites:

  • Sauvignon Blanc (2.7 grams)
  • Pinot Grigio (3.2 grams)
  • Riesling (5.5 grams)
  • Chardonnay (3.7 grams)
  • Champagne (1.5 grams)

For beers, choose light options like:

  • Michelob Ultra: 2.6 carbs
  • MGD 64: 2.4 carbs
  • Bud Select: 3.1 carbs
  • Rolling Rock Green Light: 2.4 carbs
  • Natural Light: 3.2 carbs
  • Bud Select 55: 1.9 carbs
  • Michelob Ultra Amber: 3.7 carbs
  • Miller Lite: 3.2 carbs
